Short-Term Fellowships at the SFB 1287

Project MGK (Integrated Research Training Group) is offering several three- to four-month fellowships to PhD candidates from non-German universities who would like to carry out a collaborative research project within one of the projects of the SFB 1287. [Call-for-applications]

  • Completed academic studies at an institute of higher learning (Master’s degree or equivalent)
  • Enrolment in a PhD program at a non-German university

Position as a research assistant (f/m/d) in the central project of the SFB 1287

We are looking for a committed student or research assistant (f/m/d) (maximum BA degree) for the central project (Z) of the SFB 1287 as soon as possible. [Announcement]


  • General office work (e.g. writing payment orders)
  • Management support
  • Participation in the preparation and implementation of SFB events


  • Ideally already experience with office work
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
  • Very good knowledge of common Office programs
  • Enjoy organizing and conducting events (conferences, workshops, etc.)
  • Independent work and organizational skills
  • Flexibility in working times

We are offering a position for an initial period of 6 months (an extension is planned).

The project C05 of the SFB 1287 (Project Description) is looking for a research assistant (m/f/d) to support research as of September 1st, 2022. [Announcement]


  • Help with the creation and implementation of experiments (create items/fillers, enter experiment into online tool)
  • Contact to informants of the project
  • Literature research


  • Interest in (formal) morphosyntax, non-Indo-European languages, interest in experimental work
  • Experience in creating and conducting (online) experiments
  • a plus (but not a must): mother tongue Hungarian, Polish, Turkish, Russian or English

The position is for 6 months (with an option to extend). The working time depends on the degree (WHK with BA degree: 8 hours/week, WHK with MA degree: 6 hours/week; possibly more in individual cases).
