Relativ (un)begrenzt. Die Typologie und vergleichende Syntax von Relativsätzen neu betrachtet: Korrelative, Wortstellungskorrelationen und die NP-Zugänglichkeitshierarchie

Projekt D02 untersucht zentrale Fragen der Relativsatztypologie, bei denen die Grenzen der Variabilität oder deren Ursprung ungelöst sind. Als syntaxtheoretisch ausgerichtete typologische Untersuchung werden diverse die Variabilität beschränkende Faktoren überprüft, z.B., grammatische Beschränkungen, Ökonomie, Sprachkontakt und genealogische Faktoren. Die Hauptuntersuchungsbereiche sind Grenzen der Variabilität von Relativsatzstrategien (mit Fokus auf Korrelativen), Korrelationen zwischen Relativsatzstrategie und Wortstellung sowie Grenzen der Variabilität in der Verteilung von Relativsatzstrategien auf grammatische Funktionen.
