Syntaktische Implikation der Stellung von Kopf und Argument

Im Projekt wird die These überprüft, dass systematische syntaktische Differenzen zwischen (S)VO- und (S)OV-Sprachen vorliegen, die über weitere Anordnungsgesetze für Köpfe und deren Argumente hinausgehen. Dafür werden systematisch vergleichbare Daten in einem möglichst repräsentativen Sample der Sprachen der Welt erhoben. Es soll auch ermittelt werden, ob entsprechende typologische Generalisierungen am besten über die Ordnung von Verb und Objekt oder über die strukturelle Position des Subjekts zu erfassen sind.

Das Projekt wurde ursprünglich von Prof. Gisbert Fanselow (1959–2022) entworfen.
