Phonetische Indexe der Silbenstruktur: Die wichtige Rolle der Variabilität

Dieses Projekt betrachtet zwei Quellen der Variabilität phonetischer Indizes der Silbenstruktur: das artikulatorische Bewegungssystem und die sprachspezifische linguistische Struktur. In der ersten Förderphase untersuchten wir, ob und wie die beobachtete Variabilität auf die eine oder andere Quelle zurückgeführt werden kann und entwickelten einen Ansatz, silbische Organisation basierend auf dieser Variabilität aus dem Sprachsignal zu extrahieren. Mit dem aktuellen Projekt erweitern wir die empirische Datenlage zur präziseren Überprüfung unserer Vorhersagen, behandeln ein methodologisches Grundproblem der letzten 25 Jahre und untersuchen, wie sich artikulatorische Variabilität auf die Perzeption auswirkt.
