Der Zusammenhang von Produktion und Verständnis. Erkenntnisse aus der Aphasie

In diesem Projekt sollen Erkenntnisse über den Zusammenhang der Modalitäten Verstehen und Produktion mit Hilfe von Sprachstörungen bei Menschen mit Aphasie gewonnen werden. Wir betrachten diesen Zusammenhang aus zwei Perspektiven: 1) modalitätsspezifische Störungen und 2) strukturelle Prädiktionen beim Satzverstehen. Wir nehmen an, dass die Fähigkeit zur Produktion von der Intaktheit der Verstehensmodalität abhängt und folglich auch die Fähigkeit, strukturell zu prädizieren, beeinflusst wird. Solche Erkenntnisse sind theoretisch von Bedeutung, da sie die Beziehung zwischen den beiden Sprachmodalitäten konkreter darlegen und entscheidend für Modelle der strukturellen Prädiktion sind.

Ziel des Projekts ist es, jene Ursachen zu identifizieren, die für Schwierigkeiten beim Verstehen von Sätzen bei aphasischen und sprachgesunden Probanden verantwortlich sind. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt in der Untersuchung von Faktoren, die inter- und intraindividuelle Variabilität beim Satzverständnis auslösen. Dafür werden wir sowohl Computermodellierung als auch experimentelle Untersuchungsmethoden anwenden. Darüber hinaus wollen wir – als längerfristiges Ziel – untersuchen, inwieweit die Ergebnisse unserer empirischen Forschung und deren Computermodellierung zur Entwicklung von störungsspezfischen Therapiemethoden beitragen und in welchem Ausmaß Probanden mit Aphasie davon profitieren können.
